I am honored to have earned the support of many of our elected officials and community members in District 46A, including the following friends and neighbors:
Former Hennepin County Commissioner,
Former St. Louis Park Mayor
Brian Shekleton is genuine, smart and strategic, and he has already proven himself to be a dedicated public servant. His experience and track record in government means he can hit the ground running on day one and be an effective representative for St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, Medicine Lake and Plymouth.
Brian has spent 10 years volunteering on the Minnehaha Watershed District. That kind of community work earns my respect because it shows how one can work on many levels solving local problems while making entire systems work better for us all.
Golden Valley City Council Member
Betsy Tate Anderson
Former Hopkins School Board Director
I worked with Brian on education issues at the legislature and he clearly knows the legislative process. More importantly, Brian is invested and grounded in our communities as a volunteer and engaged resident. Brian is the kind of person we need to elect to have true, effective, and genuine representation at the Minnesota Capitol.
Brian's dedication to protecting human rights and advancing GLBTQ protections has always been clear. He's supportive of our issues, and he's not afraid to stand up and speak out. His commitment to community, work ethic and experience — along with his ability to work with people who have differing views to get things done — lays the foundation for a great legislator.
I'm excited to support Brian. His desire to bring people together to improve our world hasn't changed since I met him in 1993. Brian stays engaged in our community, improving water quality, expanding transit options, and serving on community boards. He'll continue that service as our next Representative.
